Okay. Well, by the way, for those over here on a couple of Wednesdays ago, we ask you the question in Revelation Chapter 10, does that take, was that a picture of Kevin, no answer allowed, but does anybody come to a conclusion? In Revelation Chapter 10, verse 1 through 5, the 144,000, were they on heaven or on earth? Anyone thought about that? No, but the answer is very simple Vince, did you have to hand up? Okay, go ahead Well, I didn't want you to because you know if I cough or dip to you, you might get your feelings Or actually what it is is a picture of Israel in the kingdom It's that simple They were on Mount Zion and you heard a voice from heaven and and they were before the throne. Well, the throne Jesus Christ is going to stand on this throne in the kingdom. So it's basically it's a picture of Israel in the kingdom serving the Lord Jesus Christ. It's a pretty simple isn't it? Really? Okay, I just thought I'd throw that out there. Throw it out to you. Throw it through you. It's whatever. I'm not throwing up. Okay, let's see, what do we begin here this morning? Romans chapter two, if you will, we're going to continue our study in the book of Exodus. And we're going to begin in a strange place in Romans, the crying out loud. Hard to believe, isn't it? Hard to believe that the old dumb preacher from the Spartan Romans on the Bible study in Exodus, I just can't believe it. But I got my glasses fixed too, by the way. I use a paperclip. It was Mary's idea, and it really worked. Romans chapter 2, verse 11, in the book of Exodus beginning in Exodus 19, the Lord Jesus Christ began giving the law to Moses. Now why would he do that? Why would God give us the law? And if you read through the book of Exodus beginning in chapter 19 all the way through Leviticus and Deuteronomy contains the law that God gave to Moses. He wrote it down, gave it to us, put it into Bible. The Jews say there are 613 points in the law. Most of our Christians today say there are 720. I personally believe there are just about 613. I don't believe there are 720 unless you want to make up a few, whatever. But anyway, when God gave the law, there was really a reason for it. In Romans chapter 2 verse 11, for there There is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned, without law, shall also perish without law. And as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law. For not the hears of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Boy, there's a lot of questions you ought to be asking yourself in these verses. do I get justified by doing the law? If I obey the law, all 613 points. For when the Gentiles who have not the law, due by nature the things contained in the law, these having not the law are law unto themselves. Well how to work in the Gentiles? Due by nature the things contained in the law of God, if they don't know the law, if they haven't how can they do that? Verse 15, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience, also bearing witness, and their thoughts, the meanwhile, accusing or else excusing one another. In other words, the law of God is written in the heart of every human being. It's written in there the day you are born, however. Well, let's go on, if you will. In verse 16, in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel, the reason God gave the law is because the law is written in every man's heart. You have a conscience. Your conscience says, don't kill, don't murder, don't steal, don't do this, don't do that, don't commit adultery, homosexuality is immoral, killing babies, abortion is immoral, A curfew politician is immoral. All these things are written in your heart, however. Because of the original sin which began with Satan, by the way, not Adam and Eve began with Satan, was transferred to Adam and Eve because Adam's sin is in the heart of everybody. So you were born with two thoughts in your heart. One is good, one is evil. Now, if they were Adam, how about children, little children? they're not evil are they? Well, I don't know, do you ever walk through K-Mart or Wal-Mart and listen to them little Brad screaming? My first thought is I want to spank the little Brad, but my first thought really is I want to spank the parents. That's who I want to spank. You know what's going to happen when he grows up? Unless some divine intervention, he will be a spoiled Brad. His life will be absolutely useless. So go ahead, mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, spoil the little child and ruin his whole life. That's what will happen. Yeah, it will. That's what will happen. But anyhow, that child, yeah, it does. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, you know, we could go to some verses and tell you what God has to say about all that. But in Isaiah chapter 3 it says children shall be their oppressors. Is this that where God gave Moses the civil and the moral law? God gave Moses the civil and the ceremonial law and the moral law that God gave to Moses. That's what's in the heart of man. It's your morals, your conscience, how you feel, or how you should feel. But the problem is, what's that? So anyway, we could come back and cover this, and we may do that later when we get into the law that God gave to Moses. But every human being, you see, and then when you get saved, you have two, there are two people literally inside of you. There's the save and the loss. The problem is, you're still a sinner. I was watching TV this morning when there was a lady somewhere, but put up a Christmas tree, and she put books on it, little books. And she said, she's an atheist. And she said, well, we don't believe in Christmas, so we put up the tree of knowledge. I told my wife, I said, you know, that's what God told Adam and Eve not to eat of wasn't it? The tree of knowledge. And somebody called into the new channel and mentioned that to him. But the first thing I thought of, well, there you go. Difficult atheist, isn't it? This will be… I think it's what's going on there. Yeah, no. Yeah, there wasn't any Bible on it. There's no Bible. Absolutely not. But anyway, with all that in mind, turn back, if you will, to Job chapter 38. All the way back here to Job chapter 38. We're going to take a long way around to make a point this morning as we're going to do. In Job chapter 38, let's go here, if you will. God says to Job in verse 4, Where was thou, when I laid the foundation of the earth? Declare of thou hast understanding. Well, of course, he didn't. None of us were there. And then he said, who had laid the measures of it, if thou knowest, or who has stretched the line upon it? You know, when you think about this earth and how complex it is, and it always rotates on its same axis, did you know that? And the sun rotates around it, always the same, always the same direction, always the same never changes. You know why? Because God measured it, laid the line, and built it, and made it absolutely perfect. And then he says, whereupon are its foundations? Fasten? Or who has laid its corner stone? Verse 7, When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy. When God created the heavens and the earth originally, the sons of God, the angels, shouted per joy. Think about it. God created the earth for his angels. It was sort of a playground. Created a nice little playground. Father of Created is absolutely perfect. Beautiful. Well, they didn't. They sang per joy, right? They sang per joy. Now turn over to Zechial Chapter 28, if you will. Well, just put right over there. I can't believe it. Ezekiel Chapter 28. Remember one of the angels that shouted for joy was Bill Satan. At that time he was called Lucifer, the light bearer. Lucifer, the light bearer. They all shouted for joy. And then in Ezekiel chapter 28, verse 11, moreover, the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, son of man, take up the lamentation upon the king of Tyre and say unto him, thus say of the Lord God, thou sealest up the sun full of wisdom and perfect and beauty. By the way, he's not talking to the literal king of Tyra. He's talking to Satan, the king of Tyra. Did you know that Satan is also the king of the earth? He's the prince of the earth. He's the ruler of the earth. And he's having a ball, isn't he? And if you think the politicians are crooked, they are. You know why? They're ruled by Satan. And even though a politician might be saved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, most of his decisions are Satan-oriented. Unfortunately, he doesn't know it. All of Hillary's Clintons are Satan-oriented, by the way. He's talking about here Satan. Now, we know he is because it looks the next verse, now has been in Eden, the Garden of God. Well, that's not the King of Tyra, is he? No, that's not the human King of Tyra, even though Tyra had a King, a human King. He's talking about the real King, the one who made all their decisions told him what to do, how to do it, Satan. Good old Satan. Now, it's been in Eden, the Garden of God. Every precious stone was like covering the Sardius, Toe, Paz, Diamond, the Barrel, except etc. in the bottom of the verse. And thy, your Bible might say, Pikes, which is good enough to Luke's, was prepared in the day that thou was created Satan or Lucifer. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth, and I have set thee so. Thou was upon the holy mountain of God. Da has walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Verse 15, Da was perfect and by ways from the day that Da was created, till iniquity was found in thee. Good old Satan. Yet he shouted for joy with the rest of the angels when God created the earth, didn't he? Yes he did. And Da was iniquity, found in him. By the way, that's where the original sin began, it didn't begin with Adam and Eve. It would just transfer to Adam and Eve through Satan. That was perfect, though, and theiquity was found in the turn of the Genesis chapter 1, if you will. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Now hold your place there if you will. Go back to Ezekiel Chapter 28, shouldn't hold your place there. Back to Ezekiel Chapter 28, if you will. Look back to verse 15. Once again, if you will, that was perfect and by ways from the day that that was created till iniquity was found indeed. Now turn over if you will, to verse 16. Read the next by the multitude of Imerchandise, they have filled the midst of thee with violence. And thou hast sinned, Lucifer, Satan, the anointed sheriff? Therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God, and I will destroy thee o' covering, Cherub, in the midst of the stones of fire. Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty. has corrupted by wisdom, by reason and by brightness. And then he says, I will cast thee to the ground, by the way, that's future. He already cast him out of the mountain of God, and so now Satan roams about on the earth, and in the earth's atmosphere, and in outer space Satan roams around all of the place, but he's not allowed in the presence of God in the third heaven. He's not allowed there. Now, let's go over to Revelation chapter 12, if you will. Revelation chapter 12, if you will. Now, I know what you're saying. We start off with a law. How do we get off on this? Well, you'll see, you'll see. In Revelation chapter 12, what verses one through four? And there appear a great wonder in heaven. A woman clothed with the sun in the moon under her feet. And a banner headed crown of twelve stars. And she, being with child, cried, prevailing in birth and pain to be delivered. Israel. The birth is a child Jesus Christ. And there appeared another wonder in heaven and behold a great red dragon. Having seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns upon his head, do you know what that represents? The nations, the nations, the seven heads, the ten horns. the crowns represents the nations throughout history that Satan has been the ruler over. All the nations, and we can get onto that, we can take probably three or four Sundays on that, but we won't take time to do it. Verse 4, And his tail, through the third part of the stars, that's angel, sons of God, of heaven, and did cast them to the earth. Now that's passed, by the way, and did cast into the earth, and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered Israel to devour her child Christ as soon as it was born. And he tried that, didn't he? He sure did. And he's already drew a third of the stars for him if you will, to Luke chapter 10, I believe is the right place. I hope I got that right. after 10 and I believe it's verse 18 here verse 18 one verse the Lord Jesus Christ talking here and verse 17 let's go to verse 17 Jesus Christ sent out 70 people with the gospel and verse 17 to 70 returned again with joy saying Lord even the devils demons are subject unto us through thy name, that's the only way, by the way. And he said unto them, what are you saying? Is don't get all puffed up. They're not really subject unto you. Be careful what you're doing. He said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on surface and scorpions and so forth and so forth. In other words, just because you cast out a devil once in a while, don't get off, tough, tough, because all these devils and all these demons are under the authority of Satan because I saw Satan. I beheld him fall from lightning from heaven. Now, with all that in mind, turn back to Genesis 1 if you will. Verse 1. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. While remember everything We've read this morning. Remember it? Satan was running up Lucifer. The light bearer was running up and down and on when God created him in the earth. Satan and all angels shouted for joy. Oh, what a wonderful thing. God created the heaven in the earth. Beautiful. Isaiah 45, 18 says God created nothing vain. Everything is perfect. When God created something, it's perfect. It's beautiful. The Bible also said about the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no darkness in him, right? None. He is light. Jesus Christ is not. Okay, verse two. And the earth was, should be, could be translated became without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the face of the evil. Let me ask you a question. Did God ever create anything in darkness? Absolutely not. He's God. The word darkness has a meaning. The word darkness means misery, death, destruction, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness. God didn't bring it in that way. Did he? Absolutely not. In the beginning God created the heaven in the earth. The angel shouted for joy. Satan sinned in heaven, was cast out of heaven. God gave him the title deed to the plan of earth. He created the form, didn't he? It's only the righteous thing for God to do, isn't it? And so when God created man, Satan took over, and when God created man, by the way, you got to remember, God gave man control to the earth. Read about it. Genesis chapters two and three, one, two, and three. God gave man control over the earth over all the animals. God said, you're controlling over that. Boy, it was Satan kicked off. So what's Satan going to do? Are you going to get even? So Satan went to Eden and said, hey, Eve, Yehepgotsend. And Eve said, well, he certainly did, and not only did he say that, that he said this and this, if you found up, you religious jerk. And guess what? Nothing has changed in 6,000 years has it. Man is always saying, yes, God said, and he not only that, he said, this and that. He said, pray to a priest. No, he didn't. Confess your sense of Mary. No, he didn't. Run down the aisle. No, he didn't. Repet. Quit sending. No, he didn't say that. And so what did God have to do? Well, now hold your place here. We're going to come back. Turn over to John chapter 12, if you will. John chapter 12, if you will. And let's look at a couple places in John. Before you go there, go to Mark chapter three. OK? Mark chapter three. And we'll just make another point here while we're at it. And then once again, I hope this is the right place. Yes, John chapter three, look in verse 22, if you will. The religious leaders had to accuse the Lord Jesus Christ because you know why? Because he was taking our letter all their authority away from them. Do you know the religious leaders today hate to lose their authority? They really do. And when and the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, he has deals above. And by the prince of the devils cast us out key devils. Well, who's the prince of the devils? Old Satan. So you've got all these devils, all these demons run around infiltrating mankind, indwelling mankind, indwelling our politicians, so they come up with laws like the seatbelt and all this other crap we got to put up with. Comes from Satan and all his little devils, and you get all these politicians out there always wondered why they want to run for office because most of them are demonic. They want to run for office so that Satan will have control over you and I. I can't see any other reason. If anybody thinks they're going to run for office to change things, you've got to be out of your mind. You're not going to change anything. The only thing that changes things is the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. Okay, now back to John, if you will. We could go to a lot of other places concerning the demons and Satan, but we don't bother to do that. Over to John chapter 12, if you will. And go to verse 30. A voice came from heaven. Jesus said in verse 30, Jesus answered and said, this voice came not because of the me, look for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world, this present world that we live in, the cosmos. Now shall the prince of this world be cast out? Who's that? Satan. The word prince means ruler. The word prince means magistrate. He is the ruler of this world. God gave it to him. And for you Bible students, you'll Remember in Revelation chapter 5 the Lord Jesus Christ opened up the Seventh Sealed book. Guess what? He's going to take the lease from this world out of the hands of Old Satan and reclaim it. He already has by the way by his death on the cross his burial and resurrection. He's going to reclaim the title deed to the planet Earth someday. He said, now, back to the right body here, verse 31, now is the judgment of this world, the Prince of Echesta, verse 32, and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men under me. How did he get lifted up on the cross? Now then, below that in mine, turn back, if you will, to, let's go back here to Genesis chapter 1, if you will, verse 2. In verse 2, God would held his light, Satan was cast out of God's presence, cast down to the earth. God said, I created for you. It's for you. I couldn't bring you any angels. You rejected it. You've cast. You took one third of the angels, Satan, cast them out of heaven. I found the niquity in you and then God re-created the earth and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the water and God said in verse 3, and God said, let there be light and there was light. God saw it. Why? Because God is light. God is truth. God is righteousness. There's no darkness with Him. There's no destruction. There's no ignorance. There's no sorrow. There's no wickedness with God. What there is was Satan. Now let's go back over if you will. How much time we got here? Exodus, if you will. We're still going to try to answer the question why did God give us the law? How you probably know by now? I know I spent a lot of time on this, but go if you will to Exodus chapter 4 here, verse 30, verse 30 and 31. Remember we read this verse before, a couple of weeks ago, and Aaron spoke in Exodus chapter 4, all the words which the Lord has spoken unto Moses and did the signs in the side of the people. the people be lead. And when they heard that the Lord had visited Sherman and they looked upon their affliction and they bowed their heads in worship. Well, they had to see a sign. Oh, didn't it? And then look in chapter 14, if you will, verse 30, chapter 14 next to this here. Remember, I want you to know something here, verse 30, Exodus chapter 14, thus the Lord saved Israel that day of the end of the Egyptians and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore, and Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians, and the people feared the Lord and believed the Lord and his servant Moses. Once again they saw God, they believed in Him, they saw all the signs, all the miracles, and they believed in Him. Isn't that wonderful? Now look in chapter 15, if you will, verse 22. So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of shore, and they went three days into wilderness and found no water. Old terrible, terrible, didn't it? Never been thirsty. I am. And when they came to Mara, they could not drink of the waters of Mara for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Mara, and the people murmured against Moses. Well, by now you ought to see where this is going. You got the two thoughts in you, right? Good and evil. Oh, I believe in God. And they murmured. Then they cried unto the Lord and the Lord showed Him and He, that's Moses. And they murmured, say, what shall we drink? And so God miraculously had to give them water and then look in chapter 16, if you will, verses 1 through 3. And they took their journey from Elam and all the congregations of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elam and Sinai on the 15th day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. Once again, looking verse 2, and the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmuring against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. You're wondering why God even fools around with us. Why does he waste his time? Brought them out of Egypt. Gave them water. They murmured. Now they're murmured. What are we going to eat? What did you see all the signs God already performed? Didn't you see all the stuff he will feed you? But they murmured. You know what we live in today? a murmuring society. Do we not murmur, murmur, complain, bitch, moan. What's God going to do for me? What did he do for me? What day will he get for you? He died on the cross. Wasn't his fault Satan sinned, is it? Wasn't his fault Adam and Eve sinned? And it wasn't And his bought you and I were born sinners. From the very time I was born, I was a sinner. That's why mom and dad paddled my little hiding. I needed it. I paddled mine because they needed it. I don't know if it's straight in the matter or not, I think it did. I didn't ever spank my daughter. I got to say that. She never needed it. But my two boys, they sure needed it. I needed it. the reason is very simple. The law of God was written in our hearts each and every one of us. But so was the mind of Satan. And you know why God gave us the law he had to? Because if he didn't write it down, there is no account available. Did you know that? When I stand before the great white throne or the judgment seat, whichever one I stand before, if God did not write it all down, there is no accountability. But He wrote it all down. I told you this time and time again. That way there is the count. You know why the world wants to throw off the bands of God out of our society? Accountability. If I put up a tree of knowledge and reject the tree of God, there's no accountability. I'm held accountable to a book on how the accountable to a science book. That's why there's so much murder in the world today. There's no accountability. No God. We evolve the survival of the fittest. There's no God. And so God said, you know what? I wrote he already called Israel in Genesis chapter 15 to obey the law of God, but at that point there was none. Why would he say that? Because it's up here. The law of God is up here in each and every individual. Unfortunately, God had to write it down and put it in the book because mankind just won't obey the law. So I guess I got to write it down for you. So, fellas, if your wife gives you a list of things you have to do at home, you deserve it because you won't so she's got to write it down for you. Isn't it terrible? Somebody has to write it down for you. Okay, how much time we got left? Just in a turn over to the book of a backage of all things. The book of the backage they were in the world is that I've never even seen it. Well, it's in there. It's right in between Zephaniah and Nahum. Because I never heard of them either. Well, they're in there. Go to the Book of Daniel and just keep turning right, and you'll find a backing. A big cup. However you say it. Pick up. I don't know. A backing. Have a cup? Well, I don't know how you say it. I don't know it's there. And go to chapter 3. By the way, the Book of Habakkuk has to deal with the Christian attitude. You know that? Of course the whole Bible does, but specifically in chapter 1, verses 1 and 3, and that ends with chapter 3, verses 8, 3 through 19, the Christian attitude, but in the meantime there is a worldly attitude. Go to verse 13, if you will. A back he was talking about his God, he said, thou went to sports for the salvation of thy people. Even for salvation with thine anointed. Now wound us the head of the house of the wicked. Hold it. Notice that verse, if you will. This is future, isn't it? How in the world did Habakkuk know that the Lord God of Israel, the Lord Jesus Christ, wound us the head of the house of the wicked? Who is that, by the way? Satan. Her backache looked for the future and said, wow, God wounded the head of the house of the wicked, long before the Lord Jesus Christ went to the cross, her backache saw it. You know why I saw it? Because we live in a world with two ideologies, good and evil. Unfortunately, mankind would just as soon follow evil. I don't know about you, but I'm evil, not much good in me. But thank God the Lord Jesus Christ saw enough good in me to die on the cross for me. I don't know why, I just don't know why. Unfortunately, because he had the law written up here in my heart, I was too evil to follow it and obey it, and so he had to write it down. The only thing that he write down the law, you know what the law said, I'm not good enough to obey that law. There's nothing in me that's good enough to obey God's law, so he had to write it down to show me that I can't obey it. Didn't that something? And then he had to die on the cross for me to show me that I'm not good enough to obey his law. I need something else. What do I need? I need the Lord Jesus Christ to die on the cross for me to save me from my sin because Because I'm too stupid to obey his law. Wow! And so we got the leader of this world, the prince of this world, Satan, tried to destroy humanity, lead humanity astray, but God in all his wisdom and might has already slayed the leader of the head of the house of the wicked by laying bare or discovering the foundation unto the neck. You know what we need to do? We need to look at the foundation of evil, and in our lives, slay it to the neck, we probably can't. But at least we need to be able to see it, don't we? We need to be able to see when the things take place in this world that we don't understand all the evil. By the way, if you remember a couple weeks ago, I said, when our election comes along, I'm going to vote for the president of France and write it in, I'm serious. Here is anybody that is under for public office in this country for president who is worthy of it. I am going to write him in. He is the only guy I have listened lately that deserves to be the president of the United States of America. That is the president of France. I am going to write him in. Maybe that will make Satan unhappy, I don't know. You know what? God had to give us the law, didn't He? They gave it to us in three books in the Bible, basically, Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronic Numbers is simply numbering the Nation of Israel. Parts of the law is in there, but when they had the presidential debate the other day, someone asked the question, some stupid question. What about capital punishment, I think it was, what would Jesus do? And all the candidates, the Republicans, are stammered. The only decent answer was, he wouldn't run for political office. But the real answer is, Jesus already told us what he would do all the way back in Exodus and Deuteronomy, didn't he? all the way back and built it in. Yeah, he was a preacher. That was his answer. Yeah, yeah, Chuck Morris was bouncing. But that was the best answer there. He wouldn't run for political office. But the real answer is, Jesus already told us what to do all the way back. He said, who so shed is man's blood? By man shall his blood be shed. That's what Jesus said. That was the correct answer. If you kill somebody, you deserve to be put to death. That was Jesus' answer. Unfortunately, the answer he gave was… No, it's not right. Yeah, I know. That's what Satan will like to have his belief. So anyway, that's the reason God gave us the law. So everyone will be held accountable. I know I went to an awful lot of trouble to make it that simple, but you know, we went to the Bible. You know, let's have word of prayer when we close this morning. Our dear Lord, we thank You for Christ, we thank You for Your Word, we thank You for Your Bible, we thank You that we do have the ability to know what's going on in the world. We know that evil is there, we probably can't eradicate it from our lives. But someday, when we get to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, there will be no more evil. And what a wonderful thing that will be. And we thank You for it in His name. Amen. Okay.
