Okay, I got two choices tonight. I was going to go into We just start the book of Revelation so you can understand it. I'm not going to go in depth I'm just going to show you how to separate the book of Revelation so you can understand it. It's real simple or Answer the question how long does the Lord's day last? That's probably more accurate. Yeah, but you have to be able to prove it which is Probably what we'll do. So So before we do that turn over, there's something I need to point out because if you guys continue to go through your ordination and maxh ounces there, one of the things he's going to ask is, and some of you already know this, I don't know, and Daniel Chapter 8 verse 23. This will only take a minute, so Daniel Chapter 8 verse 23, probably be a good idea to make a little note in your Bible there, so you know who this is. A lot of people claim this is the anti-Christ, however, if this is the anti-Christ, verse 23, and in the latter time of their kingdom when the transgressors are come to a full, a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power and he shall destroy wonderfully and shall prosper and shall this so forth and so forth, and then through this policy verse 25, shall we see, et cetera, et cetera. Why is this not the antichrist? Now, some of you guys noticed, verse 23 is the answer. Why is this fellow not the antichrist? That's the answer. And then you go back to verse 20, 21 and 22, whose kingdom, Greece, and the four generals that rose up in verse 21, four generals, verse 22, rose up after Alexander Great died, and took over his kingdom, and in the latter time of their kingdom, then this fellow with dark sentences, et cetera, said to him, and his name is, you know his name, that's right. Antiochus epiphany, so you should write that down in your Bible, because Max Yantz, if he's one of them doing the, given your questions, he's going to ask you that, and most people would say, well, that's the antichrist, so of course, that's the wrong answer. The right answer would be he's a pipe of the antichrist, but he's not the antichrist. So what's up? Probably. So what's his name? And the office of Tiffany's. Okay, I don't know where to begin. Let's go to second Thessalonians chapter two then we'll start. Second Thessalonians chapter two, how long is the day of the Lord? And you're absolutely right. It's 1,000 and seven years. years. Of course, a lot of people will say, what? How can the Lord's day be 1,078? Well, it is. It's a total of 1,078 years. It begins at the beginning of the curbulation. Second festival is chapter 2, verse 1. And you all know these verses, I know you do, we've been through them a thousand times. Now, but we're going to do it again. Let now we be seated to brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together unto Him that ye be not soon shaken in mind or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as from us, as that the day of your Bible may say Christ, unless you have a schoolfield Bible or various other Bibles, but it should be the day of the Lord is present or at hand. But no man deceived you. In other words, the day the Lord is not at hand, of course you are familiar with what these verses are saying. Paul the Apostle was writing back to the Thessalonians because somebody wrote a letter, signed his name to it, and told them that they were living in the tribulation. And of course they were all scared to death. But he said, don't let no man deceive you and buy a letter from us or word or whatever. The day the Lord is put, let no man deceive you by any means. Well, that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first and that Madison they revealed the son of tradition. Some people think the falling away represents the church falling away from the truth. Personally, I think the falling away, the apostasy if is the rapture, that's my opinion. The word apostasy means defections, separate, departure. So I believe it's the rapture some people don't believe whatever you like, but it's entirely up to you. but that day will not come until the following away comes first, apostasia, and then the menacing be revealed. So the day of the Lord is what he's talking about, which is the beginning of the seven-year tribulation, and then he goes in to discuss it here in this chapter, in this verse. So, all right, if you have that, now let's go to Revelation chapter 19, if you will. Revelation chapter 21, not 19. When the thousand years are ended, then there'll be a great white throne judgment, a great white throne judgment, and verse 11 of chapter 20. Might we'll go there, I guess, and I saw a great white throne and him to sat on it from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and there was found no place for them, and that's all the dead. Small and great stand before God, and the books were open, and another book was open, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the book, supporting their works. When the sea gave up the dead that were in it and death and hell, Hades delivered up the dead and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell, Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whoever was not found, written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire. This is the end of the seven-year tribulation, the great white throne judgment. Everybody's judged except Christians and then a verse 21 of chapter 21. And I saw a new heaven, and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more seed. And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride, adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself should be with them to be their God and God shall work which is etc etc. First verse says the first heaven, the new heaven, the first heaven and the first earth were passed away. This proves one thing without a doubt, because you have witnesses and some of the others that claim that there is going to be kingdom on this earth and it is going to last indefinitely, not hardly. Not hardly. Okay, now without in mind, turn over to second Peter, if you will. Second Peter chapter three, you can give it a go. What is knocking on your door this is where you want to go, by the way, you need a one. Okay. Second Peter chapter three, this second epistle will be loved. I now write in you in both, to stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance. That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the Holy Prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior. Knowing this first, that thou shalt come in the last day's stoppers walking after their own lust. All these words mean something, by the way. All you have to walk do is watch a TV evangelist, and these words mean something. And saying, where is the promise of this coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. That's what they say. So this they willingly are ignorant of. That by the word of the God the heavens were of old and the earth standing out of the water and in the water, by which the world that then was being overflowed with water perished. But the heavens and the earth which are now not the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and tradition of ungodly men. By the way, what does he mean by that? By the earth which are now by the same word are kept in store. That's one thing. That's one thing. The question is, what does that mean? The answer is, let us show you. Go to Hebrews, if you will. Chapter 1, verse 3. 5, which the world of them was being overfooted. But the heavens and the earth which are now by the same word are kept in store. Hebrews chapter 1, verse 3. I know I'm getting off my subject a little bit, but that's okay. Who, being the brightness of his glory, talking about Christ, and the express image of his person, end up holding all things by the word of his power? Okay, it's close. That's what it means. Jesus Christ upholds everything by His word, by his word. If he spoke his word now today, the word to be disappeared. By his word we breathe, by his word we are, by his word we have being. By the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of God, who is the Word, upholds everything by his power. If it wasn't, and that's what burned me up about things that are going on in the world today, they ignore the fact that Jesus Christ, Almighty God, upholds this world not by their power. They were watched the politicians on TV, they think they got all the power. Without Christ, they would be absolutely nothing, absolutely nothing. So he upholds everything by his word. Okay, nothing, that's the second Peter, chapter three. Verse seven, any heavens in the earth, which are now by the same word or kept in store reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and tradition of ungodly men. In other words, there are two things that they do not acknowledge, or they deny. That is the creation and the judgment. Two things, man and time, they willingly are ignorant of. God created and God's going to judge and destroy. But the heavens are nearer per se, but the God would be not ignorant of this one thing, and here's where we get the day of the Lord, the day of the Lord is 1,000 and seven years. Now some of you are going to say, well that's not one day, well here's the answer in verse 8. But be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord at a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Lord can count that one day if he wants to, can he? But no to him. And at the end of those days, we don't know if you're up. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise as some men count slackness but as long suffering toward us, not willing to any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day the Lord will come as a thief in the night in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with bourbon heat. earth also and the works that are in it shall be burned up. At the end of the thousand and seven years just it probably roughly the same time as a great white stone judgment the earth will melt and God will there'll be a firm and heat the earth as we know it will burn outer space wherever man has been involved because fire always equals judgment with God. Fire cleanses and so the earth will melt with the great heat and the heavens and then in revelation that we just read Revelation chapter 21, New heavens and Newer and the elements show them out with bourbon heat, the earth also on the work. Seeing that verse 11, that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons don't need to be in all holy, looking in all holy conversation which really means a way of life. And God in this looking for in hasting to the coming of the day of God in which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved and the element shall melt with perfect heat. I really don't think this has anything to do with the plagues of the revelation, because God is going to set up a thousand year kingdom, and if He's going to do that, what's He going to do? How's He going to bring the earth back at the kingdom? And He doesn't say that He says He's going to bring the earth back at the end of the thousand years following the great white foreign judgment. So the day of Lord is one thousand and seven years in my opinion. You're absolutely right. Any questions concerning that or any comments? By the way, I want you to know that Sunday after the service I had Billy and Lance came up to me and I was talking about what was the subject? Wrestling. Oh, Jacob was wrestling with God. I said it was a spiritual and you guys came up to me and said it was there was also a physical and I said, you're right. I agree with them. I think you were absolutely right. I agreed. Of course, they were shocked that I agreed, but I do. I agree. Yeah. The great and terrible day of his wrath is the seven years. The day of the Lord includes seven years, but the day of the Lord includes the seven years, but it goes on into the thousand-year kingdom. Then, Jay. Sometimes it's more than the translation term. It means it has various meanings, but the terrible day of the Lord just in my opinion takes in the seven-year tribulation. He wants it together, but if you read Matthew, chapter 24, the Lord says at the end of the tribulation of those days, which is the terrible days, the day of rap, at the end of the tribulation of those days, then he comes back to the second time the world sees him, sets up his kingdom, but he's still the day of the Lord. It basically means the Lord is saying, I will have my day. And part of his day will be when he rules here with his iron hand. He rules the earth for a thousand years. And that will be part of his day, but I don't think you can go on and call that terrible, but, yeah. Okay, at the end of the point, I'll do it too. No, I don't think so. Here's how I think this, here's what I think this verse means. At the end in Revelation chapter 20, there's a new heaven and a new earth. Has to take place sometime, right? It has to take place sometime. Well, if it takes place some time, it's going to be a new heaven and a new earth, and sin is going to be purged, no more sin, and these verses here in 2 Peter tell us that it's going to be a time of judgment, and God judges, we'll get on that a little bit more. Let me give you an example, Sodom and Gomorrah, God destroyed it with fire. There was nothing left, absolutely nothing, destroyed it. So, usually in the Old Testament, even in the New Testament, fire represents judgment. Judgment against sin, judgment upon man. But when God says in birth state here that a thousand years and a thousand, a day with the Lord is as a thousand years, a thousand years as one day, what He's saying is this. Time means nothing with God. Time means nothing. A day, a thousand years, God is eternal. If you and I have time as everything, with humanity, time as everything, but with God it's nothing. Therefore, if the Lord wants to call a thousand years his day, then he has the right to do that because time means nothing with that. All they can't do that. Because if you go back and read the history and read the record of Genesis, then you go back can read the Moses, all the accounts of a literal week, a literal day, 24-hour day. Then you go back to Genesis and read that, and Genesis chapter 1, a day is a literal 24-hour day. But that's true. But if back in Genesis, also in the book of Exodus, there are many references to a day. day and if you go look those up they mean literally a 24-hour day go back to Genesis God called the day a day and he said night and morning that's the important thing he said morning and night thousand years doesn't take a thousand years doesn't start with a morning and a night yeah well yeah that's what they find well maybe we'll get on that a little bit here but let's finish this up and And then we'll get back on it. But no, that's a good question. But if you go study it, maybe we'll take kind of do that a little further. But all the way throughout, the Genesis actually, the first five books. If you go back and study the literal days, you'll find out that they're the same references as Genesis chapter one, a 24-hour day. You know, there are three theories concerning creation. I believe in the gap theory, I know there are three basic theories, and I believe there's a gap between the original creation and when God brought the creation back. But after He brought the creation back, that's where the literal seven days come in. That's when time started. That's when time started. Yeah, the guy was telling me the other day that there's a guy who can't remember his name. It's not Ken Ham, but somebody else, and I don't want to listen to his tapes, but he proves that dinosaurs were around during the time of man. And he doesn't really explain to me what he says happened with the dinosaurs, where they disappeared, where they went, or anything. But I want to listen to his tapes just to see where he's coming from. But I was going to say, oh, when God talks about the law in Exodus chapter 19 and 20, He says, on the seventh day, God rested, and then He told the nation of Israel on the Sabbath, you rest. Well, the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week. And so if you just read that alone, because God says right there, on the seventh day, He rests. He created here up in six days, and on the seventh day he russets, so that alone is enough to prove that a day in Genesis is literal. If you go back and read that, when he gave us all the Israel, in my opinion, that's all you need to prove it, okay? I think, yeah, I don't think you'd be wrong. I don't see how anyone can even go here and try to prove that the creation of each day was a thousand years because there's no way in my opinion, no way, shape, perform that this has anything to do with that, with that. Although God says He created, but in verse 7, but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word, kept in store, reserved, and so it has nothing to do with it. Well, they do, but I think this is in reference to being specific, this is more in reference to the day of the Lord, that's what this is in reference to, but they have a Lord. So to take this verse and twist it to mean something that is not in context with, I think, as a mistake. Let's see. No, but they have to understand that time means nothing with God, that's the basic, you you know, but if you want to go that route then you can say, well, time means nothing with God, maybe you create a year than one second, you could throw that out of it. But other people will do it and they can try to prove their crazy theories, you know, but whatever. Did you really? That's funny. I never did. Yeah. Yeah. I think you're right. Yeah. And because you know that's a good point, I'm glad you brought that up. Everybody has their own ministry. the Lord uses everybody in a different way. He uses each and every one of us in a different way. We all have our own ministry, but when it's all said and done, everyone's ministry fits into the church somehow. Vince will have his own ministry when the Lord decides to clean out the air, bill, you. Dana probably already does. I think I know what her ministry is, and it's a good ministry. But everybody has their own, and I have mine, and when my ministry's done, somebody else will step in and you know this ministry, my own person must be all over with. But the Lord teaches everybody a different thing in a different way. You know, one of the things Lord taught me a long time ago was the people that I'm going to pass or two are not going to be self-righteous bunch of jerks. You know how many people I've had over the years or alcoholics that most people would have rejected and threw them out of the church? I wouldn't do that. Once they're saved, they're saved. I don't care what kind of a problem they have in their life. People of the Lord has given me all and that's part of my ministry, dealing with people or having people to be a part of my ministry with other churches reject. So everyone has their own ministry, but you're right, the Lord wants you to know that, and so that's why he brought that into your life. Anyway, what's that? Yeah, I do. If they get the alcohol, yeah. The alcohol wants to leave. Yeah, that's key. That is absolutely the key. I found she used to teach that he taught that there's really nothing wrong with the boss and what you do is like if you're living with someone that's making your life miserable, the best thing to do is allow them to get to the boss or more or less coerce them into it but I don't I don't think there's a problem with living with the person that is enough to like that and maybe she's not even safe I don't know but if what she is or not to The point is, if this alcoholic is keeping this person from serving the Lord, and winning people to Christ, goodbye, yeah. If my wife is keeping me from serving the Lord, or if I was keeping her from it, I don't think you're obligating to stay married. I really don't. Yeah, what she probably is. That's right. So preservation. Yeah, preservation. Yeah, no, I don't, I really don't have a problem with events. If it divorces evident and, hmm, hmm, see, three, hmm, yeah. And that's his wife. Why? Oh, okay. I agree with all that. And we also not get made in first place to do it. Anyway, I'm then dead. Now you must get the water. That's why you're taking it the way out. She's got problems. And you don't just get the water for something that they have now. No, you don't get the water. But if a person is on drugs or an alcoholic, making life miserable for you. And I'll give you my opinion, I don't know the person even, but I imagine if she's an alcoholic, you're not getting drunk at home every night, you're getting drunk somewhere, and you're usually getting drunk somewhere with a lot of other drunks. And you're probably playing around, and what are you going to do, bring a disease home to your husband, who's a christian, and probably still get a divorce, yeah, go ahead and That's great, but you're probably still getting a divorce in that. He doesn't. But he's the one that's acting like a Christian. This guy is. That's what the passages and scriptures were. There was a one man who tried to out-getter. I don't remember. You mean the Old Testament? Yeah. Oh, yeah. That was, uh, yeah. Ozea. Yeah, that was Hosea. Yeah. Hosea. God's going to go find Gilmeri prostitute. Yeah. Yeah. He did, and the reason he got told him to do that is because his reason he told him to do it is because his role was playing a prostitute, and he was supposed to use it as a symbol of that's the reason he just did what got told him to. I was talking to a girl the other day in a restaurant, two days ago, and she had two kids not married. She's not very old. I'm a little attractive either, but that's irrelevant, but she more or less invited me over to her house. Here I am, this old, ugly old beat-up old preacher, you know? And I didn't think that was right, but there's an awful lot of different people in this world. Now, you know, there's nothing wrong with it. In my opinion, I don't have a problem with a harlot or a whore, whatever you call it. a Rahab was a prostitute, but she trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. She believed in God. So I don't believe that what people do makes them what they are, but a person is on drugs or alcohol, and they're out doing their thing, there's an awful good chance if they're going to bring a disease home to their husband, even their children. You know, I mean, AIDS is catchy, you know. If he wants to be more so I say no the husband he's the righteous guy doesn't want to be more so but I say let her go You know yeah Yeah, but it didn't happen very often That's kind of a bad That's kind of a bad way of looking at it, isn't it? I thought so, but how are you going to do that? Why wouldn't you, much rather? Why wouldn't you be better off marrying a person that believes the way you do? Because you'd rather, like, I'm good. You want to get going. You want to change the way I do. Ah, that's a joke. That's a joke. Yeah, that's ridiculous. Who is this guy anyway? I don't want to know. I don't want to know who it is. No, no, you're, you know, you're perfectly right to disagree with him. Why start your marriage off on the bat? he knows she's going to get saved. What is yo? Do you know what that means? I said, everybody puts their problems on. You know. Oh boy, I'm telling you. I was never that unfortunate. I've had to deal with some crazy people. I'm looking for something here. He was joking, I think, right? In chapter 2 of Joshua, verse 1, the devil says that Ray Had was a harlot. And the word harlot is not used in the New Testament, but the word prostitute is. And it both means the same thing. and it's a person, a woman who sells herself for money. And that's not about the one reason, but the woman ran out and placed on her to their father and mother. Well, that was, that was, that was not, uh, Jacob. He gave her something. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But the word harder, always meant, always meant the same thing. Yeah. Always meant the same thing. Well, anyway. What kind of is it up there? What time is it up there? I can't see the darn thing. Quarter-zero? Okay. Oh, you guys are on a roll tonight, aren't you? Huh? Well, yeah, I guess so. These are all good subjects though, I like them. Well, this is good, healthy stuff. Okay, back to the Lord's Day. We got a few minutes left. Talk about a revelation chapter 6, if you will. A revelation chapter 6. I have to get back to the first Corinthians chapter 7. We got on another subject. Let's go over there and forget that stuff. That's where you're coming up with Stella. That's what she wants to go. We shouldn't try to stop it. Yeah. We're going to first practice after seven. We might a little answer these questions and get it over with. I can agree with that, but I don't think we should. You shouldn't seek a divorce. No, I don't think so either, but. I don't even push her or leave. But there comes a time. I know it all very well. very personally, and real well, I know him real well, was divorced a long time ago. I'll be 30 years ago now, maybe a little more than that. And if this person had not gotten a divorce, he wasn't saved at the time. If he hadn't gotten a divorce, he'd never got saved. I know that's her fact. He'd never got saved because the life that he lived that he lived with the person he lived with was such a tragedy and such a disaster and so violent that he had never got saved, he'd probably want to let kill him somebody. As a matter of fact, I know him very well and he did try to kill a couple people, it's a good thing he didn't because who knows where he wound up and that same person I know very well is in the ministry of day and the Lord is treating him very well, very well, very good. He's the boss. Nothing is. He's got the boss before he got saved. Now, I believe there's a difference there, too. So you have to learn to weigh everything. After he got saved, then the Lord led him to the right person. And that's the reason he's in the ministry of day because he has the right person. person but what if he didn't you know so they're a lot they're a lot you got a way every situation that's not you were married in your But you know the Lord said he didn't go along with the Lord's ether but he did say that's why Moses wrote a bill of of divorcement. And the Lord did not say that there was any hang wrong with that. He didn't say that. He didn't. He said, from the beginning, it was not so. Those were his words. Adam and Eve were created not to get a divorce. He said in a debate. He said, for this cause, Moses gave you a bill of divorcement. No, where do you get a divorce in the case of adultery? So the Lord didn't like it, but He did approve it. And so I think if a person's committing adultery, I think if you have a perfect right, I think the Lord will approve it. He'll give you more. That's my opinion. But that's what he said. He said from the beginning, it was not so. As the wife should be joined together, and it should be eternal. And he said, but for this reason, the Lord gave you, or Moses gave you a bill of divorce and for the reaper adultery. That is the reason. And the Lord didn't say much more about it. He didn't condemn it and he didn't condemn it. But he said, Moses allowed you to do it. So I think there's a lot of extenuating circumstances. That's all I'm going to say. If someone came to me in one of the wars, I wouldn't tell him to get one and I wouldn't Well, I'm not too, I'd have to listen to all the reasons first, but if I thought they had about reason to get into the force, I wouldn't tell them not to. I'd tell them, it's entirely up to you to use your own judgment. I can't, in fact, I've been through that recently. I had a person ask me about that. I said, I can't tell you to get into the force, I can't tell you not to, but you're decision. But if you get into the force, I'm not going to judge you for it, and that's what I told them. We got a lady in our church right now that is married to a person who is just plain workers. And she's been hanging on for about 10 years. And the reason she's hanging on is because she thinks I might judge her, or I'm going to criticize, I think she thinks I already do, because I made the statement I'm not married to anybody anymore, because they end up in divorce. I didn't find one point in her personally. But I think in her case, she isn't that much choice. Her husband is a complete jerk. He won't work, because He's already cost her to lose to home, cost her to lose almost everything. And if she divorces his work with a sign-down, I don't blame her on a debt, and I'm not going to hold it against her. As a matter of fact, I'm going to take an opportunity to talk to her about it because I think it's bothering her, really, really bothering her. What I think. So when I get the opportunity, I'm going to talk to her and I'm going to say, look, if you You want to leave this worthless hand in, I'm not going to hold you against you. And I don't think Lord will leave it because I'll tell you what they can do to you. If you're living with somebody that is driving your life nuts, now a lot of it is, you know, somebody might be driving your nuts for there's really no reason for it. But you're living with someone who is just making life miserable and keeping you from serving the Lord, I don't think you're obligated to do it. Then yeah, first grant this chapter 7. Of course I want you to know that almost everything I said except about the bill of the enforcement is really not biblical. A lot of it is humanistic but it's just common sense in my opinion. Of course you're all familiar with what the first couple of verses say. The white had not power of her own body but the husband and likewise also the husband had not power of his own body but the wife. You know what that means by the way? Dana knows. What do you have about to do? Chapter 7, verse 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. And then I'm going to show you verse 6. He's talking about withholding sex. Don't do it. And when I used to get… I canceled people to get them when they got married. First thing I did was tell them how to be saved. And I said, we're going to talk about two things, sex and money. And you'll see it. they just start squirming. You know? You know what, Runa married for any sex and money. She's not giving me any sex. Boy, there goes your marriage. It's a rocky road. Well, he's not providing my needs. There goes your marriage. So that's what he's talking about. But I want you to know what Paul says in verse 6. Now he's telling. He said, don't be fraud one another. And they said in verse 7, where I wish it all men were with myself. In other words, he lived without It didn't bother him a bit, but if you're married and you have a partner you expect it, okay, so do it whether you like it or not Ladies fellows if you're married you do it whether you don't want to or not But then when he said look what he said in verse six Remember what I just said about what I said was not biblical Well Paul said look what he said, but I speak this by permission and not by commandment So some of the things I said were not by commandment but I think the Lord gives me permission to say things that are just plain logic and common sense. So anyway, that's going down here, if you will. And under the merit I command not but the Lord and see where do I want to go. Verse 12, but to the rest, speak I not the Lord, speak I, speak I not the Lord. Notice that? Speak, I, not the Lord. Even though he was still spiritual. He said, I'm saying that's not the Lord. If any brother had the wife, that believe it not, and she'd be pleased to do although him, let him not put her away. So if you're happy together, one's a believer, one's not, live together. Be happy. If it works, it works. Okay? That's what he said. He said, the Lord didn't tell me this. It's not a commandment. Remember what the Lord said about he said from the beginning it was not so and so forth so okay and the woman who had the husband that believed it's not if he'd been pleased to dwell with her let her not leave it so if you're happy together and you're not a believer you know when my wife married me I was trying to be a Christian but I wasn't safe I had a lot of people tell me how but they took all her own roads you know do this do that it wasn't until we got married We were married about four weeks and I went to her church. Faith Baptist Church in Perry. Max Yelts was the pastor. I didn't know it. When I went there before that to that same church with my mother, they acted like a bunch of jerks. I was in the back row. They drugged me forward, took me in the office, said, if you need the Lord Jesus, your life is a myth. I said, I know what do I do? You just need Jesus. That's all there. So when I got married to my wife, and that was her church, I said, I'm not going in there, I don't like those people. She said, okay, so I said, I'm in front of the first couple of days, first couple of Sunday. The third Sunday, I went in, and that child was the preacher, and I got saved. But when she married me, I wasn't. Well, she was taking a big chance, wasn't she? I wasn't saying she really was. She had no idea how I was going to turn out. Now I haven't turned out very good, really, but she was taking a big chance. But anyway, so, first 14, for the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband. Does that mean I'm saved? No. No, but if my wife is serving the Lord and I'm not, then the Lord acknowledges the fact that she said and she serving him and so the Lord will probably protect me and so forth because he's protecting her as long as I live with her, not treat her right and so forth, but doesn't mean I'm safe and vice versa. Else were your children unpleamed, but now are they holy. In other words, if I'm not saved and my wife and I had children, does that mean because I'm not saved? My children are unholy? Absolutely not. You know, that's foolish. foolish. I might be lost, but I might be a nice guy. My children might get saved, because my wife is already saved, so you see all the things you want on there. But, verse 15, if the unbelieving depart, let him or her depart. Let him go. You see? If they want to go, let him go. Paul says, no, I'm not saying it's by commandment, but he said, by permission and then what he said, and so I've said a lot of things I've got myself, not by commandment, but I think by permission. Now, a brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God have called us to notice the word peace. God wants you to have peace in your life. If the unbelieving or a brother or sister is not under bondage and suffocation, but God had called us to peace. For what knows now? Now, this is what Jay was talking about. I get a kick out of that. For what knows that old wife, whether that's she'll save by husband, or how knows that old man, whether that's she'll save by wife? How do you know? You don't. Just because you go to church and you're a believer doesn't mean he or she will do. So if you want to I want to take a chance on Mary, go ahead, personally I won't marry them unless I personally think they're both safe, and I don't think they're both safe, and I don't think they've told me the right things I won't marry them. And the older I get, the more cautious I get, and the older I get, the more, I guess cautious is a good word, but I try not to take any more chances on marrying people that I think they're going to split up, because I don't believe in the worst either. but you know marriage is one heck of a commitment. If you can't make the commitment, don't get married. And once you are, stay committed to it. There's a lot of things you don't know until after you're married. That's true. There's a lot of things my wife didn't know about me until after we were married. And did you know what I did? I realized that there were a lot of things about me that my wife didn't know. They weren't good. And so you know what I did? If she was good enough to marry me, I changed. I didn't say, would I change to suit her, but what I did? Because some of the things, some of the things that I changed, I thought the Lord wanted me to change. And if she was good enough to marry me with the thought that I would change and be that kind of a person, well, that was too much for me, why not? But you've got to change for the better. You've got to change towards the Lord. You can't change and be, you know, it would be like saying, If you marry a drunk, it will become a drunk. You know, that's not what I'm saying. But change for the better. Change for the better. So I did, I tried. But you're right, there's a lot of things you don't know. When you get married, there's a lot of things my wife do that I really don't care for, you know, some things. But I'm marrieder, and I didn't marry her to change her. So I'm going to accept the bad, but the good, you know. The bad ain't bad. bad isn't really bad, but I accept those. It was my responsibility to accept the bad with the good. And it's hers also to accept the bad with the good. Anyway, that's my opinion on the whole subject. I tried to avoid getting into it, but I couldn't. But I agree with two things that Paul said, you know, and you've got to read what Paul said. He said, but to the rest, speak I, not the Lord. I like that. He gives a, and then verse 6, but I speak this by permission and not by commandment. So the Lord gave him permission to say, well, you go and see if I'm not making any commandments, Paul, but you tell him this. So he did. And it makes sense to me, just plain simple logic. You give up too many things, but it's written down. Yeah. Yeah, they would really. Yeah. So that's why I say, you know, the Lord gives is certainly way and kind of think of just before I left home there was something on TV about this lady while I couldn't her sister watch Fox News all day long and I don't want to extend it. That's one of the things I have to deal with, I go to the other room but anyway there's a preacher on there, one of his congregation women came to him privately with a problem talk to him because she thought it was in secret and she expected it to be that way. Wouldn't you? If I went to the pastor or if you come to me with something that you don't want me to talk about, I'm not going to do it. Yeah. But this lady did, guess what the pastor did? He went to Matthew chapter 18, before the congregation and condemned her using Matthew for 18. I don't, yeah, probably, or Calvinist on the other. And I'm thinking, man, I could never do that. And my wife and her sister, they wanted to talk about that a little bit. One of me explained to them, I didn't want to do that. I didn't want to take time to do it. But if you get the opportunity, read Matthew, check for 18, and see what you come to. See if you think he had a right to do that. And I'll show you the verses here. I don't think he I'll tell you what yeah, he went to Matthew chapter 18 Let me give you the verses and then when you get time looking up verses 13 through 18 those are the verses he Matthew 18 to condemn whatever it was she came to him what there was it was probably a falterie. I don't know But anyway, she's getting the lawyer and she's gonna sue him. I hope she I I hope she takes him through the Colors. I really do it. Because if anybody came to me with a, and one made it keep it, I have never, I have never broken a confidence with anyone. Absolutely. And he, and she wasn't the one who fought. He was. If you read these verses. All you have to do is read verse 15, but more over if I'd brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault. That has nothing to do with she didn't trespass against the pastor. He didn't trespass. She came to him with the personal problem that she had in her life and something that she was doing wrong, they should have kept it between her and him. But these verses here have nothing to do with him. Of course, when you get time, this coming next few days, read this and see what you come up with. I'm kind of interested to see how it comes out. She got a lawyer and she took his butt to court. Good for her. He had no business doing that. You do not go to the preacher in confidence and then he takes it before the congregation. There's nowhere in the Bible that tells us to do that. James comes close, but even then there are rules. And I'll tell you what, the only time I would condemn anybody in our church is if I thought they were doing something to split the church, but the only time I would maybe make a public example out of the only time. No, no, there isn't no unless there are laws against what he's doing but it's not there are no laws for it that says he has to become but he's condemning her and calling her names and making her a bad example. Quantication takes in a lot of… Quantication is something that's committed also by a religious person, spiritual quantication, which is just as bad. So, quantication takes in a lot of territory. And the problem is what do you do after you're saved? That's that's where the real problem comes in You have to really think about you know, what am I doing now after okay? Did we cover anything the day one question? How long the Lord's day? Yeah, it is We've got about it in my mind. That's what the Bible says The day of the Lord the Lord's day If you give chance to go to Exodus chapter 20 the Lord works six days and on the seventh day he rested seven literal days compared to Genesis chapter one and anybody that brings that subject up that's where you're taking Exodus 20 and Exodus chapter 16 where it talks about the Sabbath but it always says that the Lord created in six days and on the seventh day he rested doesn't say thousand years and then he says honor the saddle which is the seventh day so if I got to do it every seven days, so to the floor, right? That's what he's talking about. That's what he's talking about. Seven literal dates. Any questions before we close here? Any comments? Okay. I could go on for hours and do you stump me? What about it? In the New Testament, there is no settlement. Not in the New Testament. So we don't have to observe it that way? No, you don't have to. That's right. You don't have to. However, However, Hebrew chapter 3, huh? Well, the Bible really doesn't say that. He is the Lord of the Seven. But the Lord, the Bible doesn't really say that. All the Bible says is, forsake not to gather and gather yourselves. That's all it says. I hate to tell you. But there's no rules for Sabbath. There's no rules when we meet. There's no rules when we come together. It's just something we've adopted it and began in the book of Acts because on the Sabbath Paul the Apostle went to the Jews first on the Sabbath in the synagogue and the next day he always went to the Gentiles with the right message. He went to the Jews also but on the next day he met with the Gentiles because Sunday he spent with the Jews and that's where we get into the habit of having a church service on Sunday, which is the next day Sabbath of Saturday, you see. But there is no rule as a matter of fact, the only rule is in the Old Testament on of the Sabbath, which is what Saturday. And if you really want to obey that rule, then we're all wet. But Jesus Christ said, I came to fulfill the law. And then He gave two commandments, which are, believe on him and love one another. And those are the only things we have to be concerned about. It doesn't mean I have to go back and break the Old Testament law, but it also doesn't mean that I have to worship on Saturday, which is the Sabbath, but it doesn't mean that at all. But there's no place in the New Testament that tells us to meet on Sunday in that church service. You won't find it. Hebrews chapter, actually gives us examples. But if you go to the first, second, third, John, John writes letters to the church that are at meet in the house of the other of them. Negros says, what day? In the day not every day. They did, yeah. We could do that if you wanted to. They hear every day all day. Would you enjoy that? I mean, if you want to get legalistic, we could do that, you know. I won't be here, but you're allowed to be here every day if you want to. I got things to do. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. No, I don't think you'll find it in the New Testament, because it's one day to meet and so forth. You won't find it. Well, if you want to make some money, I'll go for that too. Yeah, I'll be here every day if you can make a few bucks, but, uh, sure, whatever. Yeah. Otherwise, I got things to do. One thing for sure, fill the church up, wouldn't it? Make a few bucks, yeah. But we're only told to not forsake the gathering together yourselves. Hebrews chapter 13. And that's all we're told. Also says, buddy, to show that I self-approved, how you're going to do that unless you go to somebody to teach you, right? So you put it all together and we have church service on Sunday.
