We see the first three horses, the first horse is the white horse, the antichrist comes on the scene and when he does he promises peace. We could go all the way through the Bible and show you where he does that. Read Daniel chapter 11, you'll see. He promises peace and a red horse comes and we already saw last week in Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39 all the nations rush up Persia or probably at least a dozen nations come against Israel. God turns them back and the Antichrist will take credit for it. And then the next horse he comes riding in with a pair of balances. We're not going to look at that this morning. We're going to probably get on that next week. There's a couple other things we want to look at. And that is the reason for the seven-year tribulation and why did God bring about the seven-year tribulation. And we're going to go, if you will, let's see here. Let's go to the book of Daniel. We'll begin there, I think. The book of Daniel needs to be read with the book of of Revelation because they fit together, 100%. In the book of Daniel, chapter nine, if you will, go to the chapter nine in the book of Daniel. One of the most important, and in my opinion, the most astounding prophecies in the Bible is found in Daniel chapter nine. And we're gonna take a look at the 70th week of Daniel. So let's begin in verse one of chapter nine in the book of Daniel. and then we'll go over. I want you to understand the 70th week of Daniel. And then you'll understand what the seven year tribulation is and why there is seven years of tribulation. Daniel chapter nine, verse one, in the first year of Darius, the son of his areas of the seat of the Medies, who was made king over the realm of the Caldins, In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood by books the number of the years concerning which the Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the Prophet that he would accomplish 70 years in the desolations of Jerusalem. In other words, Daniel did what we all should do, he went to the Bible. So let's go where Daniel did to the book of Jeremiah and let's begin here in Jeremiah chapter of 25. Jeremiah chapter 25 hold your place here because we're going to come right back. Just go to chapter Jeremiah chapter 25 and you'll see what Daniel read. In Jeremiah chapter 25 verse 9, you're probably all familiar with this but we need to go over anyway. We need to do it. Jeremiah 25. Jeremiah chapter 25. 9. We'll begin there. God told Jeremiah, behold, I will send and take all the families of the North, say of the Lord, and Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. Notice what God called Nebuchadnezzar, by the way. My servant. Why is he a servant? Because he's doing exactly what God wants him to do. God is behind everything. By the way, do you realize God is behind everything to go on in the world today. He is absolutely, he will only allow Satan to do what he allows Satan to do. Satan is the Prince of this world, but if God doesn't want Satan to perform this act, it will not get done. God is in charge. If I get up this morning, the news was on. Do you ever watch the news media? No matter which channel it is, it's The same old garbage, Democrats are doing this, the Republicans are doing this, and I don't know about you, but I don't care. I don't care. I don't like what they do, but I don't want to spend my whole life worrying about what they do. Over in Egypt right now today, there is a big coup going on in Egypt, and the whole world has worked up over it, you know what, so what? part of the plan. The plan is coming together. Anyway, back to the Bible, Nebuchadnezzar, my servant, and he said, I will bring them. Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon against the land Israel, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around about and what utterly destroy them, and so forth. Verse 12, and it shall come to pass when 70 years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation say at the Lord for their inequity, and the land of the call-deans and will make it perpetual, desolation. Isn't that amazing? Think about that if you will. First of all, God brought Babylon against Israel because they deserved it. They rejected salvation by grace and the Lord Jesus Christ, and he said, because of that, I'm going to bring Babylon against you, and you're going to be in captivity for 70 years and then God said after that the nation that I bring against you, they're going to pay the price Everybody has to pay the price sooner or later, don't they? And then over here if you will in chapter 27 I believe is where I want to go Actually, no chapter 29. I think we're gonna go Yes Chapter 29 Jeremiah chapter 29 all the way down here to verse 10. For thus say it the Lord. After 70 years are accomplished at Babylon, I will visit you and perform my good word toward you and causing you to return even unto this land. Now do you understand what's going on so far? God's I brought 70 years against it through you're going to be in captivity for 70 years, and then after 70 years, you're going to return back to your land. Most of them. Now, back to Daniel, chapter 9, if you would. Remember that number, 70 years, remember that, it's important. In the first year of his reign, verse 2, I, Daniel, understood by books. In other words, Daniel just read what we did. The number of the years concerning which the Word of the Lord come to Jeremiah the Prophet that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Daniel was smart, he took time, figured it out, he said, you know what, seventy years are up, seventy years are up, it's time for God to perform his promise. And then in verse three, all the way down through probably 19, Daniel admitted his sinful nature. Imagine that. One of the greatest men in the Bible confessed his sinful nature. Paul the Apostle confessed his sinful nature. I don't know any other so-called religion where the people who found the religion confessed their sinful nature. Muhammad never did. Muhammad was perfect. Of course, he's in hell now today. He knows better than that. Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon religion, I don't know, I've read his stuff, and I've never read where he confessed his simple nature. The only person who never sinned was the Lord Jesus Christ. But on down, if you will, notice what Daniel said. We're going to go all the way down here to verse 13. Verse 12, and he have confirmed his words which he spoke against us and against our judges that judged us by bringing upon us a great evil. God brought a great evil upon Israel, Jerusalem, and he's not through yet. For under the whole heaven have not been done, has been done upon Jerusalem. As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come upon us yet made we not our prayer before the Lord, our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, notice these last words you should underline them in your Bible and understand thy truth. It was the truth that Israel rebelled against. The truth is that God would provide a Savior and that that Savior would die and rise again and all they had to do was put their faith in the Savior. That is the truth and they refused. And because of that, God said, I will take you into captivity for 70 years. Now I'm down if you will. Daniel prayed and in verse 20, verse through 27, his prayer is answered. Notice what God tells Daniel in verse 24, and I hope you're paying attention. Because if you are and you look at the world events today, you'll realize that there's nothing for you to worry about. Not a thing. But notice what God tells Daniel, 70 weeks are determined upon by people and upon by Holy City, Jerusalem, to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins and to make reconciliation for an equity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up the vision and the prophecy and to anoint the most holy. This is the most amazing prophecy in the Bible in my opinion. 70 weeks are determined upon thy people. 70 weeks. Now we're gonna come back here but in order to understand everything that we're going to say this morning I want you to go to the Bidicus chapter 25. All the way back here in the Old Testament, the Bidicus chapter 25. Why would God determine 70 weeks upon Israel. I want you to notice the chart here. I hope you can all see that. But in Genesis chapter 29 you will see that a week equals seven years. God said seventy weeks are determined upon by a nation Israel. A week is a week of years, seven years, seventy times seven is four hundred and ninety years, determined up on Israel. And I'm going to show you why. So go to the Leviticus if you will, Chapter 25, beginning in verse 1. And the Lord spoke unto Moses and Mount Sinai, saying, speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, when you come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a Sabbath unto the Lord. Six years thou shalt so thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof. But in the seventh year shall be a Sabbath of rest unto the Lord. A Sabbath for the Lord thou shalt neither so thy field nor prune thy vineyard. That which growth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap. Neither gather the grapes of thy fire in the undressed or unpruned. It is a year of rest into the Lord. In other words, don't prune the grapes. Leave everything. Don't plant any corn, don't plant any oats, tomatoes, nothing. Don't plant it yet. Doesn't matter if you've got a hundred acres, one acre, or ten square feet. Don't plan anything. Verse 6 and the Sabbath of the land shall be meet for you for thee and for thy servant and thy maid and so forth. And for thy cattle and for thy beast. In other words what he's saying is the first six years I will provide everything you need to get you through the seventh year. And then in the eighth year when you plan again you will have enough to go in to the horrors. Isn't that amazing? Absolutely. Do you know any farmers that do that today, by the way? I don't. All they do is complain about it. The rains are arranged too much. If it doesn't rain, it doesn't rain enough. I knew some farmers. All they did was complain. Never gave God credit for anything. Most of my people now come out to farm. I know. I think it's pretty foolish too. Now, go over to chapter 26 of Leviticus, if you will, looking verse 2, you shall keep my Sabbaths. You get that? And reverence my sanctuary, I am the Lord. We just read where God said, you shall keep the Sabbath of the land, right? It was a Sabbath. Every seventh year was a Sabbath of the land. Wasn't the Sunday, the Saturday Sabbath, whatever. But it was a special Sabbath. And God said in verse 3, if you walk in my statues and keep my commandments and do them, then in verse 4 all the way down through 13, he says, I will bless you, I'll give you rain, I'll do this, I'll bless you if you do what I tell you to do. In verse 12, I'll walk among you and will be your God, you shall be my people. And then in verse 14, all the way down through the rest of the chapter, he tells them what happen if they don't obey Him. But if you're doing not harkin unto me, verse 14, and we'll not do these commandments, and if you doubt shall despise my statutes, and so forth and so forth, verse 16, I will also will do this unto you. I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and so forth and so forth. Verse 30, verse 18. Notice verse 18. And if you will not yet for all this, hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. Verse 21, and if you walk contrary unto me, I will not hearken unto and will not hearken unto I will bring seven times more plague upon you according to your sins. Verse 24, then I will, then I, will I also walk contrary unto you, and that's something, think about that. Do you imagine God walking contrary unto you? That'd be hard to take wouldn't it? and we'll punish you yet seven times for your sins. Verse 28, then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury, and I, even I will chastise you seven times for your sins. Verse 32, and I will bring the land and do desolation, and your enemies Husha, who dwell therein shall be astonished at the edit, and I will scatter you among the heathen, the nations, and will draw out a sword after you and your land shall be desolate and your city's waste. Then shall the land enjoy her Sabbath, as long as it lies desolate. And you're in your enemy's land, even then shall the land rest and enjoy her Sabbath. go back to chapter 25, verse 1, verse chapter 25, verse 4, but in the seventh year shall be a Sabbath of rest unto the land. Now do you understand what's going on? God said seven times people bring against Israel. I got a book in my library by Dr. M. R. D. that says Israel was in the land for 190 years until the captivity. Well I don't agree with that. I just do not agree with that. And he says that's a reason for the 490 years. But I don't agree with that. Although I agree with a lot of what he says and a lot of what he says. But anyway back to Daniel chapter 9 verse 24 if you Let's go back to verse 2, Daniel chapter 9 verse 2. In the first year of his reign, I Daniel understood by books the number of the years concerning which the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet that he would accomplish 70 years in the desolations of Jerusalem. I'll pay attention, look up to you what. God told Jeremiah that Israel would be in captivity for 70 years. they deserved it. And then he said, after 70 years, I'm going to take you back into the land. But then he said in verse 24, 70 weeks are determined, up on by people Israel. 70 weeks. Notice that a week is seven years. 70 weeks. And God said, I'm going to bring seven times the iniquity upon your sin, right? Seven times seventy is what? Four hundred and ninety, isn't it? So God's telling Daniel, you Israel has been through seventy years of captivity, but Daniel, that seventy is going to be multiplied times seven. You see? Why? Because you asked for it. You ever look at the world today and all the evil going on in the world today. You know why? Because we ask for it. Not only has Israel asked for it, but the church has asked for it. Did you ever watch the church the so-called spiritual channels on TV? They're a joke. An absolute joke. There is no truth. Rob Parsley will protect you. If you send me some money and I'll send you a prayer cloth and I'll do whatever you want me to do. I'll protect you. I don't want that idiot even praying for me. There's only one person on TV that I've seen no so far that I like and that Dr. David Jeremiah is the only one. The rest of them are an absolute joke. I believe God is getting tired of being called a liar, don't you? There was a Catholic priest on TV this morning on one of the news channels talking about confessing your sin. What a joke. and they were talking about this hotline up to confess your sins. Once your red telephone's up in heaven, I can just see it now. Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins. Verse 25, Know therefore and understand. You know what he's saying here? If you're a Christian, Read this, and know it, and understand that there is no reason to be confused. It's perfectly clear. Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment, to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah, the Prince shall be seven weeks and three score and two weeks. Seven weeks comes out to want 49 years. Seven sevens are 49. I'm not too smart, but I got that figured out. Seven times seven are 49. It took 49 weeks for Israel underneath Maya to rebuild the walls for 49 years rather to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. 49 years. God said, from the first part of that verse is seven weeks, seven times seven. It took 49 years from the going forth with the commandment and 445 BC under the King to Nehemiah when they began building the walls to 49 years. And then notice if you will, and three score and two weeks is added to that. The street shall be built again and the wall even in trouble as times. Now notice verse 26, and after, now he added a law up here in verse 25, but in verse 26 he gives the last part and after three score and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off but not for himself. Let me ask you a question who is the Messiah? Jesus Christ. And who was he cut off for? Yes all humanity. Hold your place we're going to come right back here but go to Isaiah chapter 53 all the way back into Isaiah chapter 53 Just one verse here. Isaiah chapter 53 is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ. In verse five he was wounded for our transgressions. He was nailed at the cross. Verse six, all we like sheep have gone astray. We've all sinned. But he had laid on him. The Lord had laid on him the iniquity of us all. And in verse eight he was taken from prison and from judgment. And who shall declare his generation for he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people, was he stricken. He was cut off, nailed to the cross, back to Daniel, if you will. Verse 26, And after three score and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself or the world, actually. And the people of the prince that shall come shall Now destroy the city and the sanctuary and the end of it shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war, desolations are determined. Notice verse 26, between that verse is divided into two parts. You have the death of Christ when he was cut off, and then you have the seven-year tribulation, and you know what takes place between that? The church age. But what does 62 weeks come out to four hundred and thirty four years so if you take the four hundred and thirty four And a forty nine and add them up you get four hundred and eighty three years But God said 70 weeks are determined upon my people Israel 70 comes out to four hundred and ninety doesn't it? You want that leaves seven years Notice verse 27, and he, that's the prince that shall come, the anti-Christ, shall confirm the covenant with many for one week. What is it one week? Seven years. Seven years. And in the midst of the week, I, you can't see our chart that Jay gave us, but in the midst of the week the anti-Christ sits on the throne, claiming to be God, and also something very important takes place at that time, he has sort of the world he will have sort of a death. I don't believe he really dies because the Bible calls it a lying wonder. He will appear to die and have a resurrection. I think it'll be a fake, that's my opinion. And when he does, he sits in the middle of the temple claiming to be gone because he has a resurrection. He He said, that's what the Bible said, that's what you'll say. And he'll claim to be God. It's called the abomination of desolation takes place in the middle of the seven-year tribulation, back to the Bible, verse 27 again. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week where how does he come in? He rides a white horse. Does he not? He promises peace. The world will accept him as the Messiah. The entire world will accept Him as His real Messiah, and He will confirm the covenant with many. The Word actually means all, everyone, the world. And in the midst of the week, three and a half years, He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And for the overspreading of abominations, He shall make a desolate even until the consummation and all summed up. And that determined shall be poured upon the desolator. In other words, God said it, and you better believe it, because it will happen. This prophecy is absolutely amazing because it tells when Jesus Christ will die on the cross. 483 weeks from the beginning of the building of the walls of Jerusalem, 445 BC, isn't amazing. Now I know that according to our calendar, it doesn't come out exact because Satan has been trying to destroy our calendar since the very beginning. So our calendar might be three maybe four years off one way or the other. I don't know, but I do know one thing. This prophecy was fulfilled to the letter and the next seven years that remain will also be fulfilled to the letter. And I personally think that we're getting pretty darn close. Did you know that in Texas they just made a law in parts of Texas where the great school children have to learn Arabic. You didn't know that? Yeah there was a group of schools in Texas. They just made a law beginning in great school that the children have to learn Arabic. It's their law. Not the whole state but But most of it. Yes, we are going to go bomb Texas now. Yeah. You know, one time not even long ago, I thought Texas was the only state in the United States that had their act together. I guess I was wrong, huh? It's worldwide. There's no stopping. And I don't care who you vote for the president of this country. There's no stopping God's program for this world. He's preparing the world for the anti-crust, so it was a perfect manifestation of Satan, a perfect manifestation of Satan. Let's go to one verse and then we'll close. I want you to go, if you will, to Second Thessalonians, chapter two. All the way back in the New Testament here. I know it's a lot of work for you. I hate see you do that because it is Sunday. I know. I know. It's a chapter two. Chapter two, Second Thessalonians, chapter two. We'll probably pick this up in the same place next week, but I want you to notice what the Bible says about the Antichrist here, in verse 9, even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, is one great big lie. But the world of believe it, they do today, as a matter of fact, and then in verse 10, with all deceivableness of unrighteousness, and then that perish because they receive not the love of the truth that they might be saved. Isn't that something? Do you not many people today reject the truth that they might be saved? We live in an anti-Christ society, don't we? The people that run our world have an anti-Christ mentality. It's getting worse every minute, that's for sure. Literally every minute. And verse 11, why the seven-year tribulation? Not only is it a prophecy against the nation of Israel. But notice verse 11, and for this calls, God shall send them strong delusion that they should be believed in the lie. Let me ask you something. Aren't you glad you have the truth? Aren't you glad somebody loved you enough and cared about you enough to tell you the truth? The truth is Jesus Christ died on the cross for this world. The truth is all you have to do is put your faith in the death barrel and resurrection of Christ and you have eternal life. That's the truth. The truth is once you do that, you are in dwelt with his Holy Spirit, literally immersed in, baptized in, and that Holy Spirit will teach you his word. Isn't that amazing? Let me ask you a question. Did you learn anything about his word this morning? Where do you think you've got that from. You didn't get it from me. You've got it from the Holy Spirit, the same one that taught me. Isn't that amazing? It really is. In closing, let me show you this. Something new I learned the other day. God says we're all sinners. This represents my sin. God said Christ died on the cross was buried and rose again for the sins of the world, and all I have to do is believe it's John chapter 6, verse 47, just one simple verse. Very, very, I say unto you, whosoever, believe within me, ever lasting life. You know what our preachers will tell you? Oh, it's not that simple. Everyone will tell you. Oh, it's not that simple. Either it's that simple or Jesus Christ lied, didn't he? I don't think so. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you take your sin, Marks of page you have eternal life. That's the truth. That's what Israel failed to acknowledge. They rejected that truth. Our church today rejects that I believe that truth. Don't you? That's our word permaul. Dear Lord, we thank you for the Lord Jesus Christ, and we do thank you for His truth. All you have to do is believe in Him and you have eternal life. Now simple, can you get? I don't know, maybe it's just too simple, I don't know.
